Kolt has made it to Afghanistan. He's not made it to where he's stationed yet, he's laid over at a big base and will spend the 4th of July there. I'm actually excited for him and I hope that there are some awesome shows and displays for them. It would be a nice morale boost before he sets out for his final destination. He's exhausted and says it's hot and the sand sticks to every part of you no matter how hard you try to keep it off. He hopes that when he gets to his FOB (forward operating base) that there will be less traffic so the dust can settle.
I fly back to Utah tomorrow and will hang out with my family for a few days before making the last trip back home to Sugar. I'm trying to come up with things to do and places to go so I can keep busy.
I think I gained back like 8 pounds while Kolt was here, lol. I'm afraid to get on the scale, but it was worth it. I have 7 months to work it all off and so I'm not sweating it, for now. I am really excited to finish losing the rest of the weight while he's gone so when he comes back I'm nice and skinny, like when we met. So I have about 30-40lbs to go. I've lost 70 so far, can't really complain about that!
Here is Kolt in Maine before he flew out to Germany. This had to have been at like 3am or something!

here is my favorite pic from our family shoot

and the best/saddest pic from the day he left.
